Getting Started
How does the lending library work?
Browse our curated collection, and reserve pieces you'd love to wear. We'll deliver them to your door and pick them up when you're done. Each loan period is up to one week, giving you time to wear your selection multiple times or save it for a special occasion.
Do I need to be a member to borrow?
No, but membership ensures you have priority access to our archive and includes all delivery, pickup, and garment care. We offer monthly and annual options, and you can pause your membership anytime with 30 days' notice.
Browsing & Reserving
How do I know what will fit me?
Every piece includes detailed measurements (bust, waist, hips, length, shoulders) and fit notes from our team. Vintage sizing differs significantly from modern sizing—a 1960s size 10 is closer to today's size 4. We recommend going by measurements, not size labels. Our stylists are also available for fit consultations.
Can I see pieces in person before borrowing?
We don't currently have a physical showroom, but our photography includes detail shots, fabric close-ups, and styling examples. If you have specific questions about a piece, reach out—we're happy to provide additional photos or a video walkthrough.
How far in advance should I reserve?
For specific dates, we recommend reserving 2-3 weeks ahead, especially for weekends and popular pieces. Our calendar shows real-time availability. Need something last-minute? Contact us—we'll do our best to accommodate rush requests.
What if the piece I want isn't available for my dates?
Add it to your Wishlist and we'll notify you when it becomes available. We'll also suggest similar pieces from the same era or designer that might work for your occasion.
Delivery & Pickup
Where do you deliver?
We currently serve Manhattan, Central London Zones 1-4, Paris intra-muros, and Aspen with same-day and next-day delivery options. Browse the delivery calendar of any items you wish to request to see available time slots.
How does delivery work?
We offer scheduled delivery windows—you choose the day and time that works best. Your pieces arrive in a garment bag with a care card and styling notes. Everything is ready to wear; we handle all cleaning and pressing.
What about pickup?
Leave your garment bag with the front desk. Simply hang the pieces back in the garment bag we provided—no cleaning necessary. We'll collect them on the day they are due.
Is delivery really free?
Yes, complimentary white-glove delivery and pickup are included with all memberships. Rush delivery (next-day or same-day) is available for an additional fee, though Connoisseur members receive this complimentary.
Wearing & Care
Can I wear the pieces multiple times during my loan period?
Absolutely. That's the beauty of a week-long loan—wear your piece to an event, then again for brunch, or save it for the perfect moment. These clothes were made to be worn.
What if something gets stained or damaged?
Life happens, and vintage garments are meant to be lived in. Minor wear is expected and covered. For accidents like spills or tears, let us know immediately—we'll walk you through next steps. Our membership includes coverage for normal wear; significant damage may involve a repair fee, but we're always reasonable and transparent.
Do I need to clean the pieces before returning them?
Never. In fact, please don't. Vintage garments require specialized care, and we handle all cleaning with archival-quality methods. Return pieces as-worn in the garment bag provided.
Can I get pieces altered to fit me better?
We don't alter our archive pieces to preserve their integrity, but we're happy to recommend temporary alterations like hemming with loose stitches or using garment clips. Our styling team can also suggest undergarments and styling tricks to improve fit.

What eras and styles do you carry?
Our archive spans 1920s through 1990s, with particularly strong collections from the 1950s-1980s. You'll find everything from Edwardian tea dresses to 1980s power suits, with a focus on exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design.
Do you have designer pieces?
Yes. Our collection includes authenticated vintage from houses like Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Halston, Biba, and Ossie Clark, alongside beautifully made pieces from lesser-known ateliers and skilled dressmakers.
How do you authenticate vintage pieces?
Each piece is examined by our specialists who assess labels, construction techniques, fabric, zippers, and other era-specific details. When we acquire designer pieces, we verify provenance and use authentication resources specific to each house.
Do you carry plus sizes?
Vintage sizing is limited by what was manufactured during each era, but we're constantly expanding our range. Our collection includes pieces up to modern size [your range]. Membership & Billing
What's included in my membership?
All tiers include: delivery and pickup, professional cleaning and pressing, garment care, access to our full archive, styling consultations, and wear coverage. Higher tiers offer more pieces per month, longer loan periods, and priority access to new acquisitions.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership?
Yes. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. We'll never charge you mid-cycle.
What if I don't use my pieces one month?
Your monthly allocation doesn't roll over, but you can pause your membership for up to three months per year. Many members keep their membership active even during quiet months because they love having spontaneous access to the archive.
Do you offer gift memberships?
We do! Gift memberships are available for 1, 3, 6, or 12 months and make a wonderful present for the person who has everything—except a closet full of vintage glamour.
Returns & Policies
What if I need to keep a piece longer than a week?
Contact us before your return date. We can often extend your loan if the piece isn't reserved next. Extensions are charged at a daily rate based on the piece's value.
Can I purchase pieces from the archive?
Occasionally, we sell pieces from our collection. Members receive first notification and a discount. However, most pieces remain in our lending library—that's what makes this model sustainable and accessible.
What's your cancellation policy?
Monthly memberships require 30 days' notice. Annual memberships can be canceled with a partial refund based on months remaining, minus a processing fee. We're flexible and understanding when life circumstances change.
Sustainability & Ethics
Why is borrowing vintage sustainable?
Vintage pieces have already been made—borrowing them means no new resources, no manufacturing impact. Plus, high-quality vintage garments can last decades with proper care. By sharing these pieces among many wearers, we're practicing the ultimate form of slow fashion.
How do you care for the pieces?
We use archival cleaning methods, acid-free storage, and climate-controlled facilities. Each piece is inspected, cleaned, steamed, and carefully stored between loans. We treat every garment as if it belongs in a museum—because many of them could.
Where do you source your pieces?
We work with vintage archives, auction houses, and private collectors. Every piece is examined for condition, authenticity, and whether it will withstand repeated wearing. We only accept pieces that meet our standards for quality, longevity, and of course optimum photogenicity.
